Through our research and funding, we are developing efficient methods to transform aquatic plant and macroalgae biomass into practical and functional products. Such products include bio-bricks and bioplastic, both sustainable and cost-effective materials with a wide range of uses, as well as bio-feed and biochar, products that bolster agricultural production for local farmers.
Through a community-centered approach, we also collaborate with and employ local stakeholders to ensure effective research, implementation, and access to necessary support and resources.
What I love about our organization is that we’re not only focused on climate change, but community-centered climate resilience. We’re thinking about the people most affected and how we can transform threats into opportunities.

Currently, we are funding research in Namibia and Malawi and are in the process of expanding funding to institutions in Botswana as well as other countries. Additionally, we are collaborating with government leaders, nonprofit organizations, and other community members to create a larger network for climate change initiatives.
